NIN @ Scotiabank Place

Despite the worst opening act I’ve ever experienced, Trent Reznor and his touring group erased the bad karma and pulled off an astounding, dazzling, technophilic masterpiece last night. The “Lights In The Sky” tour really is everything it’s hyped to be, with a one-of-a-kind LED light “show” that borders on science-fiction. The crowd was exceptional, and the energy: crackling.

I saw them in the 90’s in Montreal. They had an awesome show then and our opening act was The Jim Rose Circus, sort of like a modern day circus side show. There is nothing like seeing, live on stage, a man lifting cinder blocks with his genitalia. I was traumatized for weeks after that. Good times!

This was “just” a band, thankfully. An awful one. They never introduced themselves, so I have NFC who they were.
